AMEN: Product Maintenance

AMEN is produced in several metals including bronze, stainless steel, sterling silver and genuine leather. Any imperfections and color variations in the leather bracelets are due to the craftsmanship of the work and the natural qualities of the leather itself. We recommend not to wet the leather. All Amen jewelry is nickel, cadmium and lead free.

STERLING SILVER
Sterling silver 925 (925%) is an alloy primarily consisting of silver with the addition of other metals. The product created with this silver alloy is marked, indicating the amount of silver present in the alloy. Sterling silver tends to oxidize over time, but the process can be accelerated if the silver encounters external agents such as perfume, salt, sulfur, hand cream, hairspray, chlorine and PH balance of the skin. The degree of oxidation depends on skin type and the wearer’s lifestyle habits. Therefore, oxidation is not a production defect and is not covered by warranty.

CARE OF JEWELRY
It is advisable to remove all jewelry before going to bed or participating in physical activity. AMEN products should not be exposed to chlorine, chemicals or salt water, as these could damage them. Avoid contact with makeup, creams, perfumes or hairspray. Remove all rings before washing hands.

POLISHING
Polishing cloths are an effective solution to restore brightness and shine to products made of sterling silver. However, polishing cloths do not remove scratches or abrasions. Silver polishing cloths are available online or at your local retailer. AMEN does not provide polishing cloths for items purchased.

CLEANING
For cleaning, dissolve a small amount of neutral soap in warm water. Using a soft brush, gently brush the jewelry in a circular motion. Rinse with clean water. Brushes are perfect for cleaning AMEN products, especially those with decorations that would otherwise be difficult to clean. If the product is particularly dirty, soak in soapy water for five to ten minutes. If dirt accumulates around the internal thread of a charm, locking problems can occur. To avoid such problems, clean the charm regularly.

GENUINE LEATHER
AMEN's genuine leather is a natural product that can expand and loosen with time. Furthermore, small variations in the color and thickness of the leather may appear. Do not submerge in water or other liquids that may cause damage or discoloration.
